Course Description:
MSEA Center for Professional Learning invites members to attend a two-day workshop for National Board candidates. Please note: Friday and Saturday’s sessions will be live and in person/overnight.
This seminar helps focus participants working on the certification process and requirements while using tools and resources provided to support them. Candidates will examine the requirements for Component 1: Content Knowledge Portfolio & Component 3: Teaching Practices and Learning Environment.
- Day 1: The first day will focus on providing individuals with an overview of the national board process, requirements, components, timelines, and scaffolding standards.
- Day 2: On day two individuals will receive a brief overview of Components 2 and 4 before exploring Components 1 and 3. MOC training will be offered as well. You will conclude with a Q&A segment. There will be ample opportunity to collaborate and gather the information needed to pursue certification. Below you will find the schedule and registration links for the advertised training.
Registration closes on December 20, 2025, at NOON.
Interested in a 1:1 One hour mentoring session? Space is very limited, but we will be offering 1-hour mentoring slots during this Winter Jumpstart session.
NOTE: This is a repeat of the sessions offered in July 2024; you may attend the January 2025 sessions that apply, understanding that the content is the same.
